The SBC lucked out in receiving City Pass as a giveaway at the Rachael Ray Show back on Dec 1, 2015. Since it needed to be used in consecutive days, we had to plan it well and have the time to enjoy the different iconic NYC sights. We were all available the week of June 14th. Weather was perfect. We began with the 9/11 Museum which none of us had visited and 3 out of the 4 hadn't even been to the Memorial Pools. Also 3 of us worked in the WTC in our youth and Connie worked nearby. So it was an emotional visit. The museum is done tastefully with much elegance and respect. The Pools are just serene and a true tribute to both the twin towers and the people who perished there.
For lunch, we ate at the Burger King that we used to frequent back in the day - the 1980's and it's still there! Cheap, cheerful and nostalgic.
We got on the subway and headed for our 2nd stop. The Circle Liner! And Winnie suggested the Habor Lights cruise to see the sunset. It was SO-MUCH-FUN! A really terrific way to see the city and us New Yorkers trying to point out what we know! :) Since I only have about a handful of followers on this blog...I figured I can add the "out-take" photos for a quick smirk or gaffaw! Along with tons of scenery shots because let's face it...how can you not?
