A Nyack Dinner & Selfie Stick

Bicky & Mark hosted a dinner at their home so we could meet Xavier's girlfriend, Megan and Miranda's BF, Sandro.  Unfortunately scheduling didn't allow Megan to attend but at least we got to see Xavier before he returned to California.  And we got to know the lovely Alessandro...

Nikki & Kris took the train up where Tony, Kathy & I picked them up.  There really isn't anything like family getting together - I guess as long as everyone gets along...haha...

This was also the day that Miranda "discovered" the selfie stick.  I KNOW she had looked down on it but she never even held one!  Let's just say - she enjoyed it very much!!

Gwen Stefani at Jones Beach

Maybe it's because I'm closing in on that big 6-0 but seeing a really good deal...$20 tickets for a concert - made me decide I was going to buy one and go alone!  Jones Beach arena (love that venue!) and Gwen Stefani sealed the deal.  Plus when I purchased that one lone ticket...it was - only $20...no tax or fees!  Whoa!

I arrived in plenty of time to get a good parking spot.  Didn't want to be too far away walking alone (so to speak) at night.  And though it was a hot day, forgot how chilly it could get being so close to the water.  The only thing I would have done differently was to bring along a hoodie or sweater.  Otherwise a very fine time had by me!
