SBC @ Wendy's

The "SBC" attended a Wendy Williams taping today and it wasn't to celebrate anyone's birthday (that's to come).  Winnie had tickets and invited us and all four were able to make it which doesn't always happen so it's a treat!

Connie had not visited Wendy's new studio yet so it was slightly different for her but for the most part, laughter & fun ensued and that is not so different! We have such a good time when we get together!

We also got lucky today and was given a Harry & David gift basket which we thought would be delivered to us and instead we had to carry it around town!  The carton was heavy and square so didn't fit in any tote.  At least, we all agreed, it wasn't raining.  We also got the Sparkle DVD (Whitney Houston movie) - Jordan Sparks was the guest today along with her boyfriend, Jason Derulo.  Good show.

We had lunch at Big Wong's...always satisfying, tasty and cheap!! :-)

Small Business Saturday 2012

Amex has a nice promotion - $25 credit to an enrolled Amex card after a minimum $25 purchase at a participating small business.  I did this last year at a local Peruvian chicken place and it was a great deal.
This year, I enrolled 3 of my 4 Amex cards and went to town!

At Lots Less, I was able to score the following: Massage & Heat Pad, Magic Wallet, 2 Cards, Box Grater, pack of 3 socks, Robe, Digital Coin Counter and an over the door Hanging Rack.  This was made in 2 trips with 2 different Amex cards.

At Bamboo Ya, I ordered a lunch special - Chicken Teriyaki bento box with California roll, shu mai and a salad.  But I would be saving that for another time.  For my late lunch or early dinner, I had a New Fusion roll which was made of tuna, eel, spicy tuna, avocado and tobiko.  Along with that I had single sushi pieces of salmon, eel, Ikura (salmon roe) and scallop.

If all works the way it should, I would have paid $3.47 for everything pictured.  Making me one very happy girl!

Gobble Gobble 2012

It was our traditional Thanksgiving dinner.  On the menu....my turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.  Mom's sweet potatoes, string beans and scallion pancakes.  Kathy's dinner rolls and pumpkin roll. Kris & Baz did the mash.  Lots of gravy.  Evelyn baked a pumpkin cheesecake with sour cream topping.  Kris baked a lattice apple pie.  Everything = delicious!!  Only thing missing...Nikki & Tom but we had them there in spirit.

Harrison & Summer

It has been 10 months since I have seen Harrison and Summer.  Lisa had asked to meet for lunch over the summer but I was upstate and couldn't make it.  I was happy that I was available this time around.

Harrison will be 7 in February and Summer turned 4 in October.  Kids change so much when they're at this age.  Much taller and more social, they are quite active!  Or I am just old!
